Who knew when Katrina Kaif was launched in Bollywood that she would matter in Indian politics too? But, she sprang a surprise with her critically acclaimed performance in Prakash Jha’s film ‘Rajneeti’. Though her Hindi was in question then, but the actress has since polished that and has delivered lengthy dialogues with great ease. When asked about her being half Indian she quipped that Rahul Gandhi( late Rajiv Gandhi’s son) was also half Indian. Its learnt that the country’s main opposition party wants to involve her in their party campaign! Anyway, she is just out to prove her other sides. Kat has bought the rights of a French film, ‘Priceless’ and plans to remake it.
Also after bonding with co-star Farhan Akhtar in ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’, Kat asked Farhan if she could sit in on the editing sessions for his upcoming directorial ‘Don 2’. The actress will soon be seen in an item number with Salman Khan in ‘Bodyguard’ and the two will move to the music of Himesh Reshammiya. But will it be Indian or western no body knows. Director Atul Agnihotri says there is no Sheila-Munni business and that it is just a fun song and that Salman will be seen wearing a black suit in the number because of his bodyguard image in the film. Himesh has reportedly created a very Indian song with festive beats.
